FICS Executive Committee is supported by seven different Commissions, each of which consists of a Chairperson and 3-9 individual or associate members. The present Standing Commissions of FICS are: the Communications Commission, Education Commission, Ethics Commission, Finance Commission, Games Commission, International Federations Commission and Research Commission.

The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic / Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS) was founded in 1987 at a meeting of national sports chiropractic leaders held in London, England, and has represented sports chiropractic on an international basis since that time.
